Rebecca began her art career in 1992 after graduating from Pratt Institute in New York City with a degree in illustration. Rebecca is best known for her painted graphic novels for DC Comics and for her work in the very popular illustrated card game Magic: The Gathering. She has also created book covers for young adult novels, illustrating the work for such authors as Bruce Coville and Ursa K. LeGuin. Rebecca's children's book Goddess: A Word of Myth and Magic, was released by Barefoot Books in September 2003. Ballet Stories, written by Jane Yolen and Heide E.Y. Stemple, was published by Barefoot Books in September 2004. Her work with Louise Hawes: Muti's Necklace: The Oldest Story in the World was published by Houghton Mifflin in June of 2006. Ms. Guay lives in Amherst Massachusetts with her husband and young daughter. |
